Arenga engleri

Common Name: Dwarf Sugar Palm

Origin: Taiwan

Height: Up to 10’

Light: Partial to full sun

Water: Water regularly

Bloom: Small, yellow, in clusters

Comments: An attractive ornamental palm, popular for its fishtail leaves, compact growing habit and pretty fruit stalks. The Dwarf Sugar Palm is the quintessential tropical landscape palm, and is popular as such in many cultivated gardens. Dark red ripening fruits adhere well to the stalk, remaining on the palm for several weeks. A very cold hardy palm that works well in sub-tropical environments.
